About the Project
A modern, high-end fashion and lifestyle e-commerce boutique featuring curated apparel collections. The store combines a minimal aesthetic layout with an interactive shopping cart drawer, rich product detail layouts, and smooth checkout integrations.
The Challenge
Synchronizing Shopify's cart state with the custom client-side React UI without introducing lag or layout shifts during cart updates and removals. Off-the-shelf SDKs introduced multiple roundtrip network delays.
The Solution
I engineered a lightweight Shopify Storefront API middleware wrapper that optimistic-updates the local Redux state immediately upon item addition, while performing the remote sync in the background, making the cart experience feel instantaneous.
